Edible Fungus Among Us

Did you know that fungi are all around us? It's in the soil we walk on, the air we breathe, some even live on the surface of our bodies, and most importantly it in a lot of the food we eat. Yes, there's fungus in your food kids!

We eat mushrooms. It's used in the preparation of soy sauce, salami and certain cheeses. We need it to make bread. It's pretty much everywhere. So, let's take your kids into the wonderful (sometimes mouldy) world of edible fungi!

In this activity, your child will learn about what fungi are, the varieties of common edible fungi and get creative with fungi-themed printables.
