Did you know that World Sea Turtle Day is celebrated on the 16th of June every year? It's a day to raise awareness of the importance of these amazing marine animals and their plight against ocean plastics pollution. Plastic pollution continues to be one of the major threats to the sea turtle and it is said that one out of two have ingested plastic.

This printable worksheet pack encourages your child or student to create more awareness about sea turtles and how irresponsible human activity particularly plastics pollution threaten their survival.

In this activity, your child have an opportunity to find out more about the sea turtles and what threaten their survival in the wild. She/He will also have the opportunity to help create awareness using the printables.

The pattern on the printable is inspired by "stained" glass, traditionally used in churches to allow the light to pass in and illuminate the church. In this case, we want to inspired our future generation about the importance of ocean conservation by symbolically bringing light into this matter.  

It will help your child or student:

  • Develop a greater sense of responsibility to nature and those that depend on it. It's never too early to teach kids about the importance of conservation.
  • Develop ability to identify different creative ways to create awareness of an important cause/subject matter.
  • (Of course) He/she will also learn about sea turtles and stained glass :)
