Welcome to the exciting world of trading card games (TCGs) or collectible card games! Generations of children have battled it out in their basements, armed only with a handful of printed character cards and a whole lot of imagination. For older folks, we may remember the super fun Top Trumps cards or the glory days of Magic the Gathering. For the younger generation, the Japanese series' Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh would probably resonate a little more.

TCGs have maintained its allure over the years despite the onslaught of digital gaming. This is probably because there is an undeniable kind of magic that happens when a bunch of kids gather physically to play trading card games. Not to mention, there's also the valuable collectibility of some of these physical tradable cards. A "Pikachu" Pokemon card was auctioned for a whopping $900,000 in 2021 making it one of the most expensive trading cards ever sold.

This creative printable worksheet activity pays homage to this incredibly imaginative past time. Let's make some fellowship magic!
