Just think about the iconic mascots you've known all your life. I bet Mr. Peanut, the Energizer Bunny, and the Geico Gecko come to mind quite easily. These are just a few examples of how mascots have helped to bring personality (and not to mention plenty of fame) to the brands they represent.

Companies have used mascots in their brand marketing since the 1800s. One of the oldest examples is the Quaker Oats Man by the namesake food company. Mascots have helped these brands stand out from the crowd of competitors and achieve better brand recognizability. Plus, kids and adults love them!
