September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and many around the world put on the symbolical gold ribbon to help drive support, funding and awareness for childhood cancer. While it is rare, cancer is unfortunately the highest disease- related cause of death for children past infancy.

This printable worksheet pack is a starter kit to help your child or student create more awareness about childhood cancer and the various related organisations involved in helping families in need.

In this activity, your child have an opportunity to find out more about childhood cancer and the local organisations helping those in need. She/He will also have the opportunity to help create awareness among family and friends using the printables.

It will help your child or student:

  • Develop a greater sense of responsibility to others, especially those in need. It's never too early to teach kids about empathy and charity. It will help them develop a healthy sense of compassion for others and a strong charitable disposition.
  • Develop their advocacy and communication skills by allowing them to identify the different ways to create awareness of an important cause/subject matter to their family and friends.
