In this activity, your child will learn more about how we taste and the different taste qualities we can sense. They will also learn to understand their own taste preferences by journalling the different tastes they experience over a month.

It will help children/students:

  • Develop better understanding of the taste profiles of the meals they regularly consume and also evaluate what their taste preferences are.
  • Nurture curiosity for meals and cuisines outside of their comfort zone. Perhaps they could compare their taste journal with friends from other cultures.
